i'm in love.. with a bass player

hello from my last night in London! wait what?! yes it's true, tomorrow we head off for our first trip! our bags are all packed and the coach leaves at 7:30! i'm stoked!! we are visiting bath, salisbury, and the cornwall coast. we will be staying in a different bed and breakfast or youth hostel each night! prepare for really long posts! :)
today wasn't too eventful but i had a really great day! since we are leaving for our trip tomorrow we had class today instead of our normal thursday class. today we discussed the norman invasion in history and in literature we talked about twelfth night by shakespeare and jane austen's persuasion. it was just lovely and british.
after that we had free time! so i went back to liberty to make my purchases! i don't have any pictures so i am sorry... but i got a lot of stuff for my 'hope chest' (future house/children) i got some classic british novels with really pretty covers, some adorable stuffed animals, a really nice cath kidston bathrobe, tons of chocolate for my family... and other stuff i can't remember! it was all so adorable i wish i could take a picture. i still might go back for more! i just love liberty. all of their home stuff is so fun. their prints are amazing. i could totally live out of that store. and it's so british, as opposed to harrods which is just over the top and incredibly high end. so yeah, liberty is my new obsession. once i was done with all that i came out of a different door then normal. i ended up on these side streets called carnaby street! it was so cute!! it was mostly just little boutiques which i have been looking EVERYWHERE for so i am pumped! i'm sure i will be going back! oh! i forgot! so the clerk at liberty asked me where i was from and i said "utah" and he said oh i know utah! the homeland of the mormons! hahah. so we had a good little talk about mormonism! i kind of explained how we are different from other christians because he said he didn't know. apparently i am the first mormon he has ever met! but i explained how we have a very different lifestyle, we don't drink, smoke, drink tea or coffee, and we save ourselves for marriage. he was a pretty devout catholic so he said he actually did mostly the same stuff except the drinking thing because they drink wine in church. i also explained how the temple is really important to us because it keeps our families together forever. also he asked about polygamy so i cleared that up. it was cool to talk to him!
okay so back to today. so valerie, the girl i'm going to disneyland with told me that she found the disney store on regent street. i had some time before dinner so i decided to go find the disney store. oh my goodness. just when i thought i couldn't get any more excited for the college program... i can't wait!!!! i know i say this a lot, but i seriously get so emotional with disney stuff. and i never cry. i am such a freak! but this disney store was so cute! it had a huge castle. they were really pushing a lot of the marvel stuff, cars, brave, and oddly enough princess and the frog? i think they must've opened right when that came out like 3 years ago or whatever. but it was so cute! being the freak i am of course i bought all the stuff that was exclusive to the london store. i got some buttons, a pin, keychain, and a gift for miss amanda! she will see what it is soon enough! :) but i was in love!! then downstairs they were playing my favorite princess movie, pocahontas! so i posted up with a 3 year old in a 'pram' (stroller) and watched that until i realized i was gonna miss dinner. hahah. so i headed to the tube!
right across the street is this place called bens cookies. everyone has been talking about it. so i tried it! i got a white chocolate chunk cookie and it was way good! i've never had a cookie like that before. i couldn't finish the whole thing because i've gotten super sensitive to sugar but anyone going to london should definitely try bens!!
so it was back to the centre where we had steak for dinner. it was terrible!!! it was basically burnt hahah but oh well! i just loaded up on some whole grain bread. we had dinner early today because tonight we went and saw 'one man two guvnors' it is a MUST SEE. it has lots of british comedy and it's just fun and sorta different!! instead of an orchestra (even though it's not a musical they do kinda randomly sing?) they have a band! it's so fun! they play like a little mini concert before the show starts as well as while they change the sets. they're kinda british country, which sounds bizarre. but it was so fun! oh and if you didn't notice today's title.. their bass player is a god. his name is richard. i bought their CD just so i could learn his name. hahahaha. all the girls on the program are obsessed! but the band was called 'the craze'. and i must say i am crazy about richard. i will find you, richard. but i will shut up about richard now, the real point is go see one man two guvnors! i honestly think it is my favorite play of all time!! loved it!
picadilly circus! kind of a sad attempt at times square... but much cooler older buildings! hahah

carnaby street! i promise it's so much cuter in person!!!

i found the craziest store! these are all chocolate!!! they don't use marzipan or fondant or anything, and it's not hollow! they are cakes! they are apparently really popular!

best moment of my life!!!!!

from last night :)

one man two guvnors opening!
